Known as the paragliding capital of India, it attracts thrill-seekers from around the globe who come to soar above the stunning landscapes of the Dhauladhar mountain range. 


Apart from paragliding, Bir Billing offers a serene escape with its Tibetan monasteries, lush tea gardens, and scenic hiking trails. Whether you're here for the adrenaline rush or to soak in the peaceful ambiance, Bir Billing promises an unforgettable Himalayan experience.

Itinerary

Day 0: Evening departure from Delhi to Bir Billing
  • The group assembles at the pick-up point.
  • We'll meet the team captains and a small tour briefing session will be conducted.
  • After which, we’ll head out on an overnight journey to Bir.
Day 1: Arrival in Bir and Local Exploration
  • Begin your exploration of Bir Village. Visit the Chokling Monastery and Sherab Ling Monastery to immerse yourself in the calm, spiritual ambiance of the Tibetan culture. Spend some time soaking in the serene surroundings.
  • Enjoy lunch at one of the local cafés or restaurants. Afterward, head to Deer Park Institute, where you can learn more about Tibetan Buddhism and attend any available workshops or meditation sessions.
  • Visit the Gunehar Waterfall, a peaceful spot hidden amidst nature, or take a relaxing stroll through the tea gardens around Bir.
  • Retire for the night and rest well for the adventure-filled day ahead
Day 2: Paragliding and Adventure in Bir Billing
  • Wake up early, have breakfast, and get ready for the highlight of your trip: Paragliding at Billing. 
  • You’ll be driven to Billing, the take-off site, which is about 14 km uphill from Bir. Soar above the stunning Dhauladhar ranges and lush valleys in a tandem paragliding flight, offering some of the best aerial views in India.
  • After the adrenaline rush of paragliding, relax and have lunch at a local restaurant. Try Tibetan delicacies such as momos and thukpa.
  • Take a sunset walk or find a cozy spot to witness the magical sunset views over the mountains. The colors of the sky reflecting over the valleys offer a mesmerizing end to your day.
  • Enjoy dinner at your Hotel/Camp, unwind, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this Himalayan gem.
Day 3: Short Trek and Departure to Delhi
  • For your final morning in Bir, consider taking a short trek to Billing (for those who haven’t yet), offering panoramic views of the valley.   • Return to your accommodation, pack up, and check out. Have a final meal at a café or enjoy tea in the village.
  • Board your bus back to Delhi or start your drive if you're traveling by car. Most buses leave Bir around 3-5 PM, ensuring you reach Delhi by early morning the next day.

NOTE:   In case of a sudden snowfall, The Atal Tunnel can be shut by the authorities for traffic movement and in that case it won't be possible to travel to Sissu. In such a case, we will look to explore alternative sightseeing options as per feasibility.

NOTE:   The age limit of our group departures is 18 to 40 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.
