Nestled in the northeastern embrace of India, Meghalaya is a land of misty hills, cascading waterfalls, and living root bridges. Known as the "Abode of Clouds," this enchanting state offers a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and nature. 


From the rain-soaked charm of Cherrapunji and Mawsynram, the world's wettest places, to the crystal-clear waters of Dawki River, Meghalaya is a paradise for nature lovers. Its unique Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo tribal cultures add a rich cultural depth to the experience. 


Whether you're trekking through sacred forests, exploring Asia’s cleanest village, or chasing hidden waterfalls, Meghalaya is a destination like no other.

Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong
  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport by 11:00 AM. Departure for Shillong at 12:00 PM.
  • Enroute, enjoy a brief stop at Umiam Lake, known for its serene beauty picturesque surroundings.
  • Check-in at the hotel in Shillong. Settle into your hotel upon arrival and relax.
  • In the evening, take a stroll through Police Bazar, Shillong's lively market, offering local handicrafts, cafes, and restaurants.
Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji via Laitlum Grand Canyon
  • Post breakfast, begin your journey with a drive to Laitlum Grand Canyon, known for its panoramic views.
  • Enjoy a local lunch at a restaurant en route to Cherrapunji.
  • Upon reaching the outskirts of Cherrapunji, visit the Garden of Caves.
  • Arrive in Cherrapunji by evening, check into your hotel, and relax.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Cherrapunji
Day 3: Cherrapunji – Trek to Single & Double Decker Root Bridges
  • Drive to Tyrna Village and begin your trek to the Single Root Bridge, then continue to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge, a two-level natural wonder (total of 6,600 steps for the round trip).
  • While coming back enjoy swmming in blue logoon under the foot bridge(Only visible in winter).
  • End your day with dinner at the hotel.
  • Relax & spend the night in Cherrapunji.
Day 4: Mawsmai Caves | Arwah Caves | Nohkalikai Waterfall | Mawlynnong Village
  • After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, begin your day by exploring Mawsmai Caves & Arwah Caves, known for fossils and vast caverns.
  • Visit Nohkalikai Waterfall, India's tallest plunge waterfall, followed by a visit to the Seven Sisters Waterfall.
  • Later, head to Dawki, known for its crystal-clear waters.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Shnongpdeng (Dawki).
Day 5: Water Sports | Krang Suri Waterfall | Phe Phe Falls
  • Post breakfast, begin with exciting water sports, including boating, kayaking, and other activities on the crystal-clear Umngot River also know as Dawki.
  • Enjoy lunch after your water adventures.
  • Head to the stunning Krang Suri Waterfall, known for its mesmerizing blue waters and beautiful surroundings.
  • End your day with a visit to Phe Phe Falls.
  • Reach Shillong and explore the local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 6: Shillong- Guwahati Airport Drop
  • Post breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Departure for Guwahati Airport.
  • Reach the airport with a hand full of memories.

NOTE:   In case of a sudden snowfall, The Atal Tunnel can be shut by the authorities for traffic movement and in that case it won't be possible to travel to Sissu. In such a case, we will look to explore alternative sightseeing options as per feasibility.

NOTE:   The age limit of our group departures is 18 to 40 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.
