Tucked away in the remote folds of Ladakh, Zanskar Valley is a paradise for adventure seekers and solitude lovers. Known for its rugged landscapes, pristine rivers, and ancient monasteries, this high-altitude valley offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. 


From the frozen wonder of the Chadar Trek in winter to thrilling white-water rafting in the summer, Zanskar is a land of extreme contrasts. The valley’s centuries-old Buddhist heritage, reflected in monasteries like Phugtal Gompa and Karsha Monastery, adds a spiritual essence to the journey. 


Whether you seek adrenaline-pumping adventures or a deep cultural immersion, Zanskar Valley promises an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary

Day 0: Departure from delhi
  • The group assembles at the pick-up point.
  • We'll meet the team captains and a small tour briefing session will be conducted.
  • After which, we’ll head out on an overnight journey to Manali.
Day 1: Arrival in Manali | Local sightseeing
  • Reach Manali in the morning.
  • Check-in at the hotel, freshen up.
  • Leave for Manali local sightseeing of Hadimba temple, old Manali, and mall road. Reach back to the hotel.
  • Dinner will be served alongside a bonfire and light music. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Manali to Jispa | confluence of Chandra and Bhaga rivers
  • Pass through the Atal Tunnel, a gateway to Lahaul Valley.
  • Visit Keylong, the district headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti.
  • Stop at Tandi, the confluence of Chandra and Bhaga rivers.
  • Reach Jispa, known for its serene river views. Overnight in camps or a Homestay.
Day 3: Jispa to Purne | Shinku La Pass | Gombo Ranzan
  • Drive through Shinku La Pass (16,580 ft), offering spectacular views.
  • Visit Zanskar Sumdo, a picturesque spot where streams meet.
  • Witness the unique rock formations of Gombo Ranzan, an iconic mountain resembling a standing statue.
  • Arrive at Purne, a remote village and gateway to Phugtal Monastery.
  • Overnight stay at a Homestay/Camp in Purne.
Day 4: Purne to Padum | Phugtal Monastery
  • Morning visit to Phugtal Monastery, a stunning monastery built into a cliffside cave.
  • Trek to the monastery and experience its serene spiritual vibes.
  • Continue to Padum, the heart of Zanskar Valley, and explore the local culture.
  • Enroute visit Sheela Waterfall.
  • Overnight stay in Padum at a Camp or homestay.
Day 5: Explore Zanskar Valley (Padum) | Karsha,Sani Monasteries
  • Visit the ancient Karsha Monastery, offering panoramic views of the valley.
  • Explore Stongde monastery, one of the most significant gompas in Zanskar,
  • Visit Sani Lake & Pibiting Monastery, known for its historical significance.
  • Head to 8th century 5 Dayani Buddha statue.
  • Immerse yourself in Zanskari culture and enjoy a leisurely evening in Padum.
  • Overnight stay in Padum.
Day 6: Padum to Sissu | Sissu Waterfall
  • Retrace your journey through the stunning Shinku La Pass.
  • Pass by Jispa and enjoy a short break.
  • Reach Sissu, a charming village in the Lahaul Valley.
  • Relax by the Sissu Waterfall and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
  • Overnight stay at a Homestay or hotel in Sissu.
Day 7: Sissu to Delhi via Manali
  • Departure to Manali via the Atal Tunnel.
  • Enjoy lunch in Manali and continue the journey to Delhi.
  • Reach Delhi by early next morning.

NOTE:   Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.

NOTE:   In case of a sudden snowfall, The Atal Tunnel can be shut by the authorities for traffic movement and in that case it won't be possible to travel to Sissu. In such a case, we will look to explore alternative sightseeing options as per feasibility.

NOTE:   The age limit of our group departures is 18 to 40 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

Any expenses caused due to conditions beyond our control such as road blockage,road accidents, landslides (to be borne by the customer on the spot)
