Tucked away in the lap of the Western Himalayas, the Valley of Flowers is a breathtaking high-altitude meadow located in Uttarakhand, India. Renowned for its diverse and vibrant floral bloom, this UNESCO World Heritage Site transforms into a natural wonder during the monsoon months, with over 500 species of wildflowers painting the landscape in every shade imaginable.


The trek offers a perfect blend of spiritual serenity and alpine adventure, with a visit to the revered Hemkund Sahib, glacial rivers, lush forests, and panoramic views of snow-clad peaks. Ideal for beginners and nature lovers, this 6-day trek from Haridwar to Ghangaria and beyond is an unforgettable journey into one of India's most enchanting natural sanctuaries.

Itinerary

Day 0: DEPARTURE TO HARIDWAR IN THE NIGHT
  • Departure from Delhi to Haridwar by volvo bus at 10:00 PM. Overnight Journey to Haridwar.
Day 1: Haridwar to Govindghat

Drive: ~290 km / 10-11 hrs
  • Early morning drive from Haridwar to Govindghat via Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Joshimath.
  • Scenic mountain roads along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers.

  • Overnight stay at Govindghat / nearby village (Pulna).

Day 2: Govindghat to Ghangaria
  • Short drive to Pulna (start point), then trek to Ghangaria.
  • Gentle walk along the Lakshman Ganga River through forest and waterfalls.
  • Reach the base village for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
  • Overnight stay at Ghangaria.
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers to Ghangaria
  • Trek into the enchanting Valley of Flowers National Park.
  • Witness hundreds of blooming Himalayan flowers like blue poppy, cobra lily, primulas.
  • Explore deeper into the valley and return by afternoon.
  • Overnight stay at Ghangaria.
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib to Ghangaria
  • Early morning trek to the sacred Hemkund Sahib (14,100 ft).
  • Visit the lake and Gurudwara surrounded by snowy peaks.
  • Return to Ghangaria by afternoon.
  • Overnight stay at Ghangaria.
Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat
  • Descend to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath.

  • Optional visit to Auli (if time permits).

  • Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 6: Joshimath to Haridwar
  • Early morning departure for Haridwar.
  • Reach by evening with memories of the Himalayas in full bloom.

NOTE:   Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.

NOTE:   In case of a sudden snowfall, The Atal Tunnel can be shut by the authorities for traffic movement and in that case it won't be possible to travel to Sissu. In such a case, we will look to explore alternative sightseeing options as per feasibility.

NOTE:   The age limit of our group departures is 18 to 40 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

Inclusions

Accommodation on triple sharing in alpine or dome camps.

Meals include from Day 1 lunch to the last day breakfast. Meals will be
simple and vegetarian, mostly (bed tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea &
snacks, soup, and dinner).

Professional and experienced certified trek guide.

Crampons (spikes for shoes) and Gaiters for snow trekking.

Transportation from Manali to Manali.

Exclusions

Anything not mentioned in inclusions above.

Anything that is not mentioned above in the inclusions is excluded.

Any personal trekking gear (like a trekking pole, shoes, cap, gloves, warm cap, bag, jacket, etc.).

GST (5%) is applicable extra.

Mules or porters to carry personal luggage.

Restrictions: Littering during the trek to keep the environment safe and clean. Alcohol consumption during
travel and trekking.
